Question 1

How much does it cost to rent a luxury car in Monaco?

Accepted Answer

Luxury car rental prices in Monaco vary by vehicle category. Supercars (Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren) typically range from €1,500 to €3,500 per day. Luxury saloons (Rolls-Royce, Bentley) range from €1,500 to €3,200 per day. Luxury SUVs range from €1,200 to €2,500 per day. Prices increase significantly during the Monaco Grand Prix and Yacht Show. For an exact quote, contact DeGa with your dates and preferred vehicle.

Question 2

What is the minimum age to rent a supercar in Monaco?

Accepted Answer

Most luxury car rental companies in Monaco require drivers to be at least 25 years old. For high-performance supercars and hypercars, the minimum age is often 28 or 30. Some companies charge a young driver surcharge for renters under 30. DeGa evaluates each rental on a case-by-case basis, considering the driver's experience and the vehicle category.

Question 3

Do I need a special driving licence to rent a luxury car in Monaco?

Accepted Answer

A valid driving licence held for a minimum of 3-5 years is required. EU/EEA licences are accepted directly. Non-EU licences (US, Canadian, Australian, etc.) are generally accepted, but an International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended for licences in non-Latin scripts. Always carry both your original licence and IDP.

Question 4

How much is the security deposit for a luxury car rental in Monaco?

Accepted Answer

Security deposits range from €5,000 for standard luxury vehicles to €20,000 or more for hypercars and flagship models. The deposit is held as a pre-authorisation on a credit card (not a debit card) and is released within 3-7 days after the vehicle is returned undamaged.

Question 5

Can I drive a rented luxury car from Monaco to Italy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most luxury car rental companies in Monaco permit driving in France, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany without additional paperwork. However, driving to Eastern European countries or taking the vehicle on a ferry may require prior authorisation. Always confirm cross-border permissions before departure, as unauthorised travel can void your insurance.

Question 6

Is insurance included in the rental price?

Accepted Answer

Comprehensive insurance is typically included in the rental price. However, the excess (deductible) can range from €3,000 to €10,000 depending on the vehicle. Optional excess reduction packages are usually available for an additional €50-€150 per day. Always confirm exactly what is covered, including tyres, wheels, glass, and undercarriage damage.

Question 7

What happens if the car is damaged during the rental?

Accepted Answer

If the vehicle is damaged, the security deposit (or the excess amount) may be retained to cover repairs. If you purchased an excess reduction package, your liability will be reduced accordingly. All damage is assessed by a professional upon return, and a detailed report is provided. For major incidents, the insurance company will be involved.

Question 8

Can the car be delivered to my hotel in Monaco?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Vehicle delivery to hotels, private residences, yachts, and other locations within Monaco is typically complimentary. DeGa offers delivery across the entire Principality and throughout Europe, including to hotels, airports, and private addresses.

Question 9

Can the car be delivered to Nice Airport?

Accepted Answer

Yes. DeGa offers airport delivery to Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE), as well as Milan Airports (MXP/LIN), Munich Airport (MUC), Málaga Airport (AGP), and Geneva Airport (GVA). Airport delivery may incur a fee depending on the distance from the nearest base.

Question 10

How far in advance should I book a luxury car rental in Monaco?

Accepted Answer

For standard periods, booking 1-2 weeks in advance is usually sufficient. For summer months (June-August), book 2-4 weeks ahead. For the Monaco Grand Prix (late May) and Monaco Yacht Show (late September), book 2-3 months in advance — the most desirable vehicles sell out very early during these events.

Question 11

What is the mileage limit for luxury car rentals?

Accepted Answer

Most luxury rentals include a daily mileage allowance of 100-200 km. Additional kilometres are charged at €2-€5 per kilometre. For longer trips, unlimited mileage packages are sometimes available at a premium. Discuss your planned itinerary with DeGa to choose the most cost-effective option.

Question 12

Can I rent a luxury car with a debit card?

Accepted Answer

No. Luxury car rental companies in Monaco require a credit card in the driver's name for the security deposit. Debit cards and prepaid cards are not accepted because the deposit is held as a pre-authorisation, which is not possible with debit cards.

Question 13

Can I hire a driver with my luxury car rental?

Accepted Answer

Yes, chauffeur service is available for most vehicles in the DeGa fleet. This is particularly popular for Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Mercedes-Maybach rentals, where the rear-seat experience is a key part of the appeal. Contact DeGa to arrange a professional chauffeur for your rental.

Question 14

How do I book a luxury car with DeGa?

Accepted Answer

You can book a luxury car with DeGa by visiting the fleet page, selecting your preferred vehicle, and submitting an inquiry through the contact page. Alternatively, you can call or WhatsApp +33 665 98 74 84. DeGa will confirm availability, provide a written quote, and arrange delivery to your preferred location.

Question 15

What makes DeGa different from other luxury car rental companies in Monaco?

Accepted Answer

DeGa owns one of Europe's largest privately owned luxury fleets, meaning the car you book is the car you receive — not a third-party substitution. With over 20 years of experience, transparent pricing, Europe-wide delivery, and a commitment to premium customer experience, DeGa provides a level of reliability and service that brokerages cannot match.
